Jason is the founder of JMS Legal, LLC, and has been a practicing attorney since 2004. Jason’s practice focus has always been in estate planning, business and tax law. He focuses his practice on providing comprehensive, personalized estate planning counsel to couples, families, individuals and businesses. Jason has created an estate planning practice that not only helps families plan for their financial capital (what they own) but also for their human capital (who they are) and intellectual capital (what they know).
Jason’s journey to build this unique, one-of-a-kind practice began on September 11, 2001, when his oldest brother Richie was killed in the terrorist attacks in New York City. Jason has built a practice that is about much more than saving tax dollars and avoiding probate, but about appreciating the value of planning for themselves and truly leaving a lasting legacy for their loved ones. Jason has experience with the complexities of high net worth estate planning, but is able to work with families and individuals at any stage of their estate planning journey. He prides himself in specializing in estate planning for special needs.
As a former Division 1 Collegiate athlete, Jason understands the importance of teamwork, time management and goal setting. He consistently brings these traits to his client relationships. Jason serves his clients by first learning their goals, dreams and concerns, and then works with his clients to develop plans that reflect the client’s unique situations, while putting his knowledge and experience to work.
Jason loves to spend time with his wife, Molly, and their three beautiful daughters, Anna, Maria and Sara. When not with his family, Jason is a sports enthusiast, competing in golf, tennis and soccer.
